By Chilufya Tayali – MEDE PRESIDENT
In bemba there is a saying that, the one who hears how wild fruits fall from the tree, is the one under the tree.
I thank God for bringing me in the bosom of the PF of President Lungu and his Godfather RB.
I have come to know what they do and it is very bad. Most of these people are very corrupt and are drawing our Country backwards.
However, I will always have respect for Davis Chama. If I had to save one man from the fires of hell due to corruption, I would save Davis Chama.
Some people accuse me of praising the criminals that give me money, go and ask Davis Chama if he has ever paid me. But I know how much he tries to be above board.
Don’t ask me to talk about the President, I may be charged of treason, I can only praise the President for appointing the RB cartel and Given Lubinda.
I also thank him for keeping Amos Chanda the man who I thought was so innocent to the point me wanting to beat KZ for shaking him up, anyway I think he must be very useful to the President otherwise he would have fired him.
I would have continued supporting Edgar Lungu of he was appointing people like David Chama, but some of these people. ..awe sure, though you wonder what has changed to my support, I thought some of these people would not be around ECL.
Anyway, Iam just spicing up an article someone sent to me and because it is Ba Chama I am happy to post it.
Today we shine the light on Minister of Defence Davies Chama.
Described by many as a man of few words but a listening ear to everyone, President Lungu on 15th September nominated him as a member of parliament and subsequently appointed him to oversee the defense force of the Republic of Zambia.
Mr Chama a politician by occupation served as party Secretary General in the Patriotic Front before his appointment as Cabinet Minister.
Mr Chama also served as Lusaka Province Chairman, during President Sata’s tenure.
Mostly acquainting himself with the grass roots Mr Chama says, a party needs to be built from the grass roots. He believes in ensuring a solid foundation for a party or any institution makes it stand for many years to come.
Born in August 1964, the year of Zambia’s independence, Mr Chama has lived up to the standards of his birth year, instilling peace in the party and the nation at large.
Mr Chama has been a strong advocate of the motto, “One Zambia, One Nation.”
A quick interaction with the Defence Minister will tell you the man does not mince his words, but cuts through straight to the bone;
“Ba Chama is very accommodative and attentively listens to people but he does not mince his words, he tells the truth as it is.”
Mr Chama first came into the political lime light in 2006 when he stood on PF ticket as parliamentary candidate for Kabwe Central where he unfortunately lost by a narrow margin to the ruling MMD.
Despite the loss Mr Chama remained committed to the Patriotic Front and was actively involved in its mobilisation.
During his tenure as Defence Minister with no doubt we do expect him to perform his duties diligently , free from corruption with just and fairness.
Congratulations Honourable Davies Chama we wish you all the best.
