Several donor countries are considering withdrawing financial support to Zambia due to the degeneration in the human rights situation in the country.

Some countries are also considering imposing travel bans and restrictions on some key PF Government officials including Edgar Lungu himself like they have done to the Zimbabwean dictators Robert Mugabe.

Zambian Eagle can confirm that some key donors are appalled with the deterioting human rights situation in Zambia under Edgar Lungu, especially after the teargassing of the crowded Kanyama compound Sunday where the UPND was scheduled to address a rally.

Sources say the oppression and suppression of people’s rights such as freedom of association and freedom of assembly under Mr. Lungu has shocked them hence the decision to consider withdrawing financial support to Zambia.

Zambia has so far scored badly on many local and international protocols in human rights situation that includes the limiting of space in media freedoms such as the closure of the Post Newspaper.

They have expressed that Zambia was becoming a police state where citizens rights were being blatantly violated by Edgar Lungu’s government.

  1. The pf police has become ‘rabied’ by just shooting at armless innocent citizens. They need such a prescription to tranquilize them.

  2. We will do better without donor funding after all it has never helped but only caged us in debt. We have a lot of alternatives like exporting marijuana, mukula and electricity. As for travel ban who can die from lack of travel
