A Tanzania Zambia Railways Authority (TAZARA) coach attendant was on Wednesday cut to pieces by Mukuba Express Passenger Train in Northern Province, Kayaya (Chanda Wayaya) Railway Station. This is according to the sources at the Regional Head of Passenger Services Office in Mpika. Reports say Mr Sitali aged 30, had disembarked from the train when it started off. He tried to jump on the moving train but missed a step and fell in rails thereby being cut into terrible pieces by the Njanji Train.

Meanwhile, TAZARA’s Kayaya Railway Station was the same Wednesday turned into a funeral house for an hour as passengers and TAZARA Workers cried uncontrollably for the unfortunate loss of their colleague. Mr Sitali was a seasoned coach attendant who was residing in Kaparimposhi with his wife and children. He has been working in TAZARA as a waiter for more than 10 years now.
