40 years ago, at your tender age and from your Law school at the University of Zambia, the Barotse Royal Establishment made a decision that you tried not to accept but you were meant to accept it, that you became a youngest Senior Chief in the history of Barotse land. That really affected you very much because all the dreams of what you wanted to be were shut and that you were forced to be separated from your own family and friends when you needed them the most.
.
This year, we look back and the only thing that comes to us are smiles that today, you are a longest saving Chief in Barotse land and that your reign has been very peaceful and we know it will continue to be peaceful. We ask ourselves a question why you have managed to reach this far, the only answer that comes to our minds is the grace of God. One of your favourite Bible text is that of God asking King Solomon what he wanted Him (God) to do to him. Solomon did not ask for wealth, but for wisdom to be able to lead his people in the good and better direction.
This year people from all walks of life will gather to celebrate your 40 years on the throne, indeed this is a humbling experience to many people who have walked with you on this journey and those that will continue to do so.
.
INDEED CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 40 YEARS ON THE THRONE. WE WISH YOU GOD’S BLESSINGS IN YOUR LIFE.

  1. He was not the youngest. The youngest was Litunga Tatila Akufuna who reigned from 1884 – 1885. He was only 21 years old when Ngambela Mataa intalled him kwa Makono
