The African American Home coming team arrived yesterday in Mongu at exactly 23:00 hours.
This Morning at 08:30 hours the team will pay a courtesy to the Zambia’s resident Minister to Barotseland (provincial administration) and his team. At 11:00 hours the Home coming team will be in Limulunga to pay courtesy on His Majesty the Litunga (King) of Barotseland, Lubosi Imwiko II.
At 14:00 hours today the Homing coming team will take a site visit at ‘Kaasa ka Ma Mbali’ in the Barotse plains. ‘Kaasa ka ma Mbali’ was centre or a station made by the Arab Slave traders during the 17th century. It was a station where Slaves used to rest before being taken to the West coast of Africa in Angola and then transported to the USA.
The ground breaking activity of Multi-Million dollars state of the Art Restoration Center Headquarters for Africa, that is to be built in Mongu, will be on Saturday 10th of August 2019 in Sefula. And then the official opening of the 400 years pilgrimage anniversary celebrations of Anti Slave trade on Sunday 11th August, 2019 at Mongu Stadium
