ALL BOOTH OWNERS TO PAY ANNUAL FEES.

Chingola Municipal Council (CMC) has called on all booth owners and agents to pay trading permits annually as opposed to the monthly fee.

In a statement Today, CMC Assistant Public Relations Manager Nambela M. Kyombela said the Municipality has stated that the booth owners in Central Business District (CBD) are required to pay K732 yearly while those in Peripheral areas are to pay K565 respectively.

She said the Local Authority has added all payments should be remitted to the Civic Centre revenue offices and not to individuals.

Mrs.Kyombela added that CMC has furthermore requested that all stations of operation should place Copies of Certificates of Installation permits on their premises.

She said the Council is therefore urging all to comply with the above-mentioned or stringent actions will follow.

  1. We understand the country is facing economic challenges and the youths need to earn a decent living, but these booths are making our cities look untied. The telecom companies must reorganise themselves, distribute and install the booths in a uniform and organised manner.

    Otherwise, our cities are looking horrible.
