_Two tribal groupings presiding over the affairs of 70 tribes is tantamount to immorality_ .
By James Kasanda Musendeka Lukuku
The nation was yet again greeted by the now disgusting Mulenga Tembo Bwalya Lungu Chisenga Banda political appointments.
Where are the other 70 tribes in President Edgar Lungu’s leadership?
Look at this;-
Vincent Mwale- Chipata
Honestly this is not only frubagasting but totally outrageous and mind boggling to say the least.
How can you have a government without lozi people, Luvales, Lundas, Tongas and others.
Zambia is not just muchinga, northern, Luapula and Eastern provinces.
We need an inclusive government that transcends all Zambians at all levels unlike the PF one sided administration which shamelessly discriminates against other tribes.
There is no country that can ever develop with it’s people divided either on ethnic or tribal grounds.
Looking at the reshufle that president Lungu did yesterday, we are made aware of a pathetic and repugnant tribal divide that the PF has created for our country.
A cabinet whose 99 percent comprises people from two regions out of ten is not only unfortunate but a painful catalyst for deep social divide and strife.
The PF cabinet is a potential causality of serious ethnic discontent that remains a powder cage to ignite at any moment.
Crafters of our republican constitution left the President with a provision of 8 possible appointments to parliament because they knew that in a democracy you can have zero mps to appoint as ministers from certain regions due to factors of voting patterns. In real meaning, president Lungu should have used the parliamentary nomination space to include all tribes in parliament so that all citizens from all corners of the country can feel and be part of the governance of our republic, by having cabinet ministers from their regions.
It’s useless to say we don’t have cabinet ministers from other provinces because they have not given the President MPs.
During voting no one truly predicts the winner.
That is why the presidential parliamentary prerogative of nomination must be applied to ensure tribal balancing, inclusiveness and unit.
For the sake of national unit, the likes of Nakacinda and Dr Bwalya Ngandu should not have been nominated to parliament. Rather the President should have nominated Ngandu Magande or other people from other provinces so that we have an all inclusive government.
In all boards of various state institutions it’s 100pc people from eastern and northern provinces. You go to government departments the story is the same. Administration of all state departments at directorate level is comprised of the pathetic and symptomatic mulenga tembo Bwalya Lungu musonda Banda tribalism of the patriotic front.
To make things even worse, the President has even retired people from public service, not as a matter of national interest but as a matter of tribal discrimination.
Let us knit a strong nation founded on a real one Zambia one nation, and not the znbc pf fake one Zambia one nation which is only said and never done.
Stop tribalism and balance your cabinet President Lungu.
