Chipata Baby Daddy kills rival
A LOVE triangle involving two men of Chipata against one woman has ended in tragedy as one man lays in the Chipata Central Hospital mortuary whilst the other is on run from the law.
According to sources close to the matter, on Sunday around 21:00 hours, 25-year-old Brighton Banda went to Mchini Compound to see Sonile Zulu, 21 with whom he had a child.
However, before he could reach Sonile’s house, Banda spotted her in a dark corner in Dyakanani Area, being cosy with another man identified as Masautso Zimba aged 26.
Infuriated at the scene, Banda lashed at the duo with a flurry of hooks and jabs, the majority which landed on Zimba instantly extinguishing his libido and forcing him to run away for dear life into the pitch black darkness but not before Banda landed one last punch to his straying lips.
In the melee, Sonile also escaped to her home but Banda followed her there and enrolled her in a slap session over lending out her body to Zimba.
Meanwhile, when Zimba reached home to take stock of his injuries, worried relatives took him to the local clinic where staff were shocked at the extent of his injuries.
The clinic staff quickly took him to the hospital where, however, he succumbed to his injuries and died.
Upon hearing of his victim’s fate, Banda with only clothes on his back escaped from his known abode and is on the run from the law.
Eastern Province Commissioner of Police Geza Lungu has confirmed the incident saying police are currently searching for Banda.
