Chief Pilgrim Dr Canisius Banda writes]
The citizens countrywide were waiting for the signal. Now it has come. And it is clear.
There is no alternative to the PF, now and in the near, foreseeable future.
Ni PF cabe manje!
Many citizens who were on the fence now are convinced that backing the UPND is a sure way of developing stress, losing weight, suffering hypertension, remaining poor and possibly dying early.
There is no hope in the UPND.There is only disillusionment and pain.
Soon many in the UPND will take out their suffering, frustration and bitterness on one Hakainde HICHILEMA. They will rebel. Quietly initially.
This is what I predicted. This is what happens when leaders are too full of themselves that they become deaf to the wise voices and advice of their members.
This is what happens when duplicity becomes the foundation of leadership.
UPND is autocratic.
UPND remains an arrogant platform for the projection of ethnic pride, a reality which many citizens find offensive and nauseating, even those within the UPND itself.
For now, this party will continue to alienate itself from the citizens/electorate.
It’s members are now increasingly becoming weak, hopeless, and angry with their leaders.
Their leader now seems lost, dispassionate and hostile to their interests. Seeing him as a hindrance to their prosperity, they will now quietly begin to agitate for his removal.
Only tribal and other narrow sectarian interests will keep some members following blindly like cattle to the slaughterhouse.
Samva za anzake, anamva nkhwangwa ili m’mutu!
