The students at one of the biggest colleges in zambia Evelyn Hone college are appealing to President Lungu and his Minister to come to their aid over high tuition fees their Management have been imposing on them.

According to the students , Evelyn Hone college management has not even followed govt directive that all students under education courses should start paying K800 per term. The management says that that directive does not include their college . Students under education courses are still paying up to K4 000 per term which is against govt directive.

The college management is exaggerating the fees as if it is not under govt. Students from Health sciences have complained that they are failing to pay the fees because the increase every year. Health sciences students pay up to K 8 000 per term which makes the vulnerable to drop out of the college.

We pay alot of money as if we are studying decrease – said the students. There is no way one student can be paying K 8000 or K 9000 per term just to study Diploma in pharmacy. Govt should really come to our aid . We appeal to our understanding president Edgar Chagwa Lungu and Pro Luo to help us by reducing these fees .
