The Ministry of Energy says it is looking at modalities to reduce fuel prices.
Minister of Energy Mathew Nkhuwa says the Energy Regulation Board -ERB- is also making calculations to see any possibilities to reduce the fuel pump prices.
Mr. Nkhuwa further states that government wants to engage cheaper fuel sources to supply Zambia.
Mr. Nkhuwa was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nkhuwa said the Ministry has made progress in upgrading several power generation stations to stabilise power supply across the country.
He said government is also investing in alternative power generation sources in a bid to start exporting electricity to the neighboring countries.
The current Petrol price is at K16.06 with diesel costing K14.65 per litre.
Kerosene is at K11.34 per litre
