Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema has taken a different approach in the Katuba by-election by doing a door to door campaigns.

The people of Katuba go to the polls on 31st July 2019 to replace the late Patricia Mwachingwere who held the seat under the UPND.
Hichilema or HH as he is commonly called has been in Katuba from Thursday. He has taken a unique style by approaching individual voters.

As Hichilema’s entourage which included UPND Councillors in Katuba made its way in many areas of Katuba, many residents scampered to catch a glimpse of the opposition leader.
And Hichilema is telling the people of Katuba that Zambia’s economy has been run down by an uncaring PF Leadership. He says this has not spared the agriculture sector among many others.
“When in government, we will ensure that the Agriculture sector is efficiently and competently managed, by making certain that farming inputs are delivered on time, farmers are paid promptly to enable them send their children to school and prepare for the next season” he said.
“We will stamp out red tape that fuels corruption across all sectors as our policy is zero tolerance to corruption and anyone found wanting will face the wrath of the law. Fellow country men and women, together we have a task of removing the PF from government and re-directing the future of our country into a prosperous and united Zambia”
