UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema has today revealed how he and his wife Mutinta struggled in their early marriage years to have children losing three pregnancies in a role. Hichilema says at that point he came under severe pressure to abandon his wife as some of his family and friends urged him to look elsewhere saying the problem could be his wife.
But Hichilema says he faithfully stood by his wife and later ‘God blessed us with three beautiful children. A beautiful girl and two beautiful boys. You see it’s easy to give up but there are greater rewards in refusing to give up’, he said.
Hichilema was speaking during an interview today on United Radio.
