Patriotic Front Deputy Media Director Antonio Mwanza has challenged the United Party for National Development to condemn remarks of Homosexuality by the American Ambassador to Zambia Daniel Foote.

Mr. Mwanza has observed that Mr. Hichilema has been quite on homosexual remarks but vocal on corruption allegations.

He says Mr. Hichilema can not condemn Homosexuality because people who fund him and his party are full time homosexuals.

Mr. Mwanza says Mr. Hichilema must either distance himself from Homosexuals or condemn them in Public for people to know which side he is on.

He says as long as Mr. Hichilema continues having desperate attempts to be in state house using the support of the Americans, he will not be in State house.

And Mr. Mwanza has accused the United States of America Ambassador to Zambia Daniel Foote of working together with Mr. Hichilema to frustrate the PF Government.

Mr. Mwanza says America has joined forces with UPND to fight President Edgar Lungu and the PF government in order for them to introduce gay rights.

He said Mr. Hichilema accepted to introduce gay rights once the United States of America helps him win Elections. – Zambian Watch

  1. Where was Amtonio Mwanza when Sata himself, who formed PF was expressly supporting gaysm. At least we have never heard HH openly saying so.

  2. Antonio Mwanza why are you now asking or challenging UPND and HH to respond to questions and challenges raised by the American Ambassador to the PF government on how Zambia is currently administering justice in unjust ways??

Antonio Mwanza, you have run out if issues to trap UPND and HH into your PF created problems. I am glad that HH and UPND has remained quite as the evolving discussions and diversions from PF supporters is not addressing the real challenges and questions raised by the American Ambassador. From the statements made by the American Ambassador, your challenges or questions to HH and UPND are not correct.

If you want UPND inputs to challenges faced by PF government, then the correct questions or challenges should be “ What would be the position of UPND and HH be on sentencing two men who had consensual relationship to 15 years imprisonment for ‘crimes against the order of nature’ compared to no prosecution for government officials who steal millions of public dollars; compared to no consequences for political cadres who beat innocent citizens expressing their opinion; compared to a maximum of only 5 years imprisonment for poachers/ traffickers who kill numerous elephants and sell their tusks??” Anyhow, why should these questions be answered by UPND and HH? Does UPND and HH currently control the administration of justice in Zambia?

The issue is not just about who condemns or doesn’t condemn homosexuality. The issues raised by the American Ambassador is “perhaps its time for Zambia to consider its outdated stance and obsolete legislation on how to treat the Lesbians, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex (LGBTI) community and all others considered ‘different’. It is not wise to deny the existence of homosexual people in the country since the evidence is there on the two men facing 15 years in jail now.

While some people in Zambia may not accept homosexuality, there is still the question on how Zambia should treat homosexual people compared to similar or worse offenders who steal public resources and deny millions of people their health and livelihoods!!

The American Ambassador raised concerns on the oppressive sentencing against disenfranchised groups and minorities such as people from other tribes or political affiliations, albinos, the disabled and LGBTI and anyone who is deemed ‘different’.

Clearly this PF Deputy Media Director is trying to de-campaign UPND and HH based on false challenges and allegations. Why should PF be asking or challenging UPND and HH to answer on issues and challenges raised by the American Ambassador to the PF government and on how Zambia administers justice in ways considered unjust??
