1. MR. ISAAC CHIPAMPE
SPECIAL ASSISTANT FOR PRESS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
LET ME START BY CONGRATULATING YOU ON YOUR APPOINTMENT AS SPECIAL ASSISTANT FOR PRESS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS.
THE POSITION OF SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT IS A VERY SENIOR IN THE CIVIL SERVICE AND COMES WITH IMMENSE RESPONSIBILITIES.
YOU WILL SOON GET TO KNOW THAT YOUR NEW OFFICE IS VERY DEMANDING, OFTEN REQUIRING THAT YOU GO AN EXTRA MILE, INCLUDING SACRIFICING YOUR TIME, TO GET THE WORK DONE.
HOWEVER, I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT WITH YOUR 24 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE IN THE MEDIA, YOU ARE EQUAL TO THE TASK AHEAD OF YOU.
I AM ALSO CONFIDENT THAT WITH YOUR VAST SKILLS IN MEDIA MANAGEMENT, YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO BRINGING SANITY IN THE MEDIA FRATERNITY BY FINDING SOLUTIONS TO END THE UNBECOMING TREND OF JOURNALISTS THRIVING ON PUBLISHING FAKE NEWS ESPECIALLY IN THE WAKE OF SOCIAL MEDIA.
THIS TYPE OF JOURNALISM IS RETROGRESSIVE AND NEGATIVELY IMPACTS THE DEVELOPMENT OF OUR COUNTRY.
AS I CONCLUDE, I URGE YOU TO QUICKLY SETTLE DOWN IN YOUR NEW POSITION.
LET ME ALSO ENCOURAGE YOU TO CONTINUE EXHIBITING PROFESSIONALISM, LOYALTY, TRUST AND COMMITMENT TO DUTY, WHICH I MUST STATE, HAS EARNED YOU THIS DESERVED PROMOTION.
MAY THE ALMIGHTY GOD BLESS AND GUIDE YOU AS YOU SERVE THE PRESIDENCY AND THE PEOPLE OF ZAMBIA.
I THANK YOU.
