Japanese League star Kosuke Nakamachi has thanked Zesco United as a club for giving him an opportunity to play in Zambia.
The 33 year old midfielder took to Instagram earlier today to announce that he had officially joined Zesco United and wrote ” Natotela Sana” which in Zambia’s Bemba Language means Thank You.
Nakamachi has been subject of a lot of talk on Social Media which began earlier this year in both Zambia and Japan after he had made another announcement on January the 2nd via his Instagram post that he would not be renewing his contract with his J- League club Yokahama Marinos citing that Marinos had offered him a two year contract extension but he had opted out and wanted to play in the Zambian Super League hinting that his preferred Zambian club was Zesco United.
After Nakamachi’s announcement on there was not much information on the potential move as Zesco United remained mum over the matter though fresh information came out on January the 17th that he was having his medicals in Ndola and a few days later the clubs CEO Richard Mulenga admitted that they were in talks with Nakamachi over a possible move.
The icing on the cake was on Wednesday the 30th of January when Nakamachi appeared in the company of Zesco United officials at the Edwin Imboila Stadium in Lusaka as they watched Zesco beat Green Buffalos 1-0 to win their first league match.
Nakamachi has now officially joined Zesco and has already posted the clubs logo on his account and says that he is excited to join the club and is looking forward to seeing the fans in the stadium.
His contract with Marinos ran out yesterday on Thursday the 31st of January 2019 and he leaves a club which he joined in 2012 and made 215 appearances for the club scoring 19 goals and providing 18 assists from the midfield.
