Retired Zambian international football captain, Kalusha Bwalya, was part of the All African Stars team who beat the Rest of the World 1-0 in a game played on Wednesday evening at the Sheikh Mohamed Laghdaf Stadium in Morocco.

Former Cameroon star captain Samuel Eto’o was the scorer of the lone goal in the 44 anniversary annual Green March celebration which commemorates the 1975 movement when 350,000 unarmed Moroccans marched into the Sahara in protest of Spanish occupation of Western Sahara during the rule of King Hassan II.

Some of the notable former players who featured for All African Stars were Samuel eto’o [Cameroon], Kalusha Bwalya [Zambia], Nwankwo Kanu [Nigeria], El Hadji Diouf [Senegal], Nourredine Naybet [Morocco] Mohammed Aboutrika and Wael Gomaa [Both Egypt], while Luis Figo [Portugal], Rivaldo, Cafu [both Brazil], and Pedro Niguel Pauleta [Portugal] played for the Rest of the World.
