Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) President Andrew Kamanga has invited his predecessor and Chipolopolo legend Kalusha Bwalya to be part of the panel to pick the next coach for the national team, according Lusaka based radio station HotFM.

FAZ are expected to conclude the appointment of a gaffer for the Chipolopolo that have had no permanent coach since the departure of Belgian Sven Vandenbroeck back in March and the association supremo has turned to his long purported rival as pressure to qualify for the next AFCON heats up.

Bwalya has been credited for having brought Frenchman Herve Renard who led the Copper Bullets to the 2012 AFCON.

Zambia have failed to qualify for last two editions of the AFCON and lost two of their opening qualification matches for the 2021 edition under interim coach Aggrey Chiyangi.
