Mazabuka based Division One outfit Manchester United Zambia Academy (MUZA) Football Club Executive Director Keith Mweemba has explained the link between the Zambian based soccer academy and English Premier League side Manchester United.

Speaking to Byta FM Sports Sunday afternoon, Mweemba said negotiations to affiliate MUZA FC directly to the main Manchester United FC team in England are currently going on.

Mweemba said if the negotiations succeed, his club will be exporting players directly to Old Trafford as it will be a Zambian nursery for the Red devils of England.

He said currently, the concentration is on nurturing the talented young boys for huge assignments such as playing for the national team and other bigger clubs in Zambia and abroad.

“We are still having sideline negotiations, I can’t pre-empty the ongoing negotiations because it will be premature of me to start confirming a deal that is under negotiations.Otherwise yes!We have plans to affiliate our club to the Manchester United FC in England so that we can be exporting players direct to Old Trafford. For now, our focus is nurturing young talented boys into well disciplined players to fit in any big team in Zambia and abroad,” explained Mweemba.

Mweemba stressed that Zambia has a lot of talent that can break into big European leagues such as the English premier league if they are nurtured properly with acceptable levels of discipline.

The renowned Lawyer stressed that his team has all levels of age groups to help the boys grow with discipline.

MUZA FC is currently topping FAZ Division One Zone four league table on 14 points with a record of not conceding a goal.
