Lawyers demand payment of K37 million from PF as the ‘tycoon’ who paid back money for Ministers’ illegal stay in office refuse to help the former ruling party since they are out of power.

The Lawyers demand that PF pays them their money for representing their candidates in on-going petitions. In 2016, PF ministers illegally stayed in Office after Parliament was dissolved during the campaigns. When the Court ruled that it was an illegal undertaking, the Ministers were asked to pay back the money which they drew during their illegal stay in their ministerial offices.

A known businessman who had access to huge tenders from Government through the PF offered to pay the money on behalf of the ruling party. This time around, he has refused to help the PF since they are not in power and have nothing to give him.- The Candidates
