MAZABUKA’S NAMULONGA RESIDENT SURVIVES STRANGLE ATTACK, LEFT WITH SERIOUS INJURIES AFTER BEING ATTACKED AT HER HOUSE

A resident of Namulonga Township in Mazabuka is nursing serious injuries after she was attacked by a thief in a botched early night robbery at her house.

Asher Mwila explains to Byta FM News that she found a thief in her house after knocking from work at around 18:00 hours, Tuesday, who intensely squeezed her neck before running away.

Mwila who is also “I’m Grafix” Manager further explained that she suffered a biting on her back and sustained a swollen neck.

Despite the dramatic but life threatening attack, Mwila’s screams for help fell on her neighbours’ deaf ears.

However, the “I’m Graphix” manager only survived the attack after she sunk an award winning stop fight – bite on one of the bandit’s hands.

As at Wednesday morning, Mwila was experiencing general body pains and bloody, itchy eyes.

Mwila complains that she is now living in fear following the attack by a man who should be in his 20s.

The bandit who forced his way into Mwila’s house by damaging the main door, had earlier served himself a mixture of milk and a full bottle of Autumn Harvest wine that was in the house.

Meanwhile, a concerned resident of Mazabuka has called on the Police to intensify night patrols in the district, saying that people especially in high cost areas are living in fear due to increased break-in by criminals.

Thakor Natho says that the police must ensure that property and lives of people are protected.

Recently, prominent Mazabuka business man Pravin Patel was also attacked by criminals in a broad daylight robbery.
