MOTOR BIKE AND LG BUS SPEED RACE ENDS THE LIFE OF A ZAMBEZI YOUTH

A youth of Zambezi has died after attempting to be on a speed race using his parent’s motorbike and LG bus that was coming from Solwezi on route to Chavuma on the M8 road in Zambezi District North Western Province around Mushona Primary School area reports NorthWestern Newsline.

Scared to go home after squandering K200 given to him by his parents to buy some necessecities the youth identified as Raphael decided to steal his parent’s motorbike which he used for lifts in order to raise the squandered money.

He successfully delivered his first customer in Lwatembu and on his way back an LG bus overtook him around Anglo area and it was at this stage in his drunken state that he decided to start a speed race with the bus with the hope of challenging it with a one piston motorbike.

Unfortunately for him while the bus managed to pass through the opening of the council barrier, his motorcycle at full speed hit into the closed side of the barrier and he terribly landed on the tarmack and died instantly.

Police in Zambezi have confirmed the death and accident but have said a full statement will be issued by acting North Western Province Police commissioner soon.
