UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema says he does not lose sleep worrying about whether or not he will become Republican President.
He says his destiny lies in the hands of God and that Zambians will decide who ascends to the Republican presidency.
Before departure for Lusaka at Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport in Livingstone on July 27, 2019, President Edgar Lungu said a Tonga would one day ascend to the Republican presidency but that not the current aspirant.
President Lungu’s remarks were apparently directed at Hichilema.
“I do not lose sleep worrying about whether I will become President or not. My destiny is in the hands of God and the people of Zambia will decide who should be President,” Hichilema responded in a message yesterday.
“Therefore, I do not mind what Mr Lungu says about me. Not at all.”
He added that instead of the daily hate messages from the PF, “I choose to give Zambians LOVE.”
