Vice President Nalumango joins mourners to pay last respect to the Great North Road accident victims

Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO has joined hundreds of mourners gathered at Mtumbi cemetery to pay their last respect to victims of Saturday’s road accident that occurred on the Great North Road.

Mrs. NALUMANGO who was accompanied by Health Minister SYLVIA MASEBO, Lusaka Province Minister SHEAL MULYATA and other senior government officials lead the family and relatives of the deceased in laying wreaths at the burial site.

Nine out of 12 bodies will be buried this afternoon and burial of the remaining three bodies is yet to be communicated.

On October 9 2021 police recorded a road accident that occurred at18:40 hours on the Great North Road at Chingwere road junction.

The accident occurred when the driver of the Howo truck in trying to avoid a small bus lost control of the motor vehicle and hit into a Rosa bus that was moving from South to North claiming nine lives on the spot.
