National Action for Quality Education in Zambia-NAQEZ- says governments ban on weekend and holyday tuitions in all day and boarding schools should exempt slow learners.

In an interview with Phoenix News, Organization executive director Aaron Chansa explains that in as much as the ban is a positive move it also has a negative impact on pupils that are slow learners as they may need utilize the remedial classes to catch up.

Mr Chansa feels that the ministry of general education should allow some teachers to assist slow learners without a charge during weekends and holidays.

Last week government announced the ban on weekend and holiday tuitions in all day and boarding schools.
