Ousted Egyptian president dies in court

Ousted Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi has died after collapsing in court, according to state television.

The 67-year-old was the country’s first democratically elected president in July 2012, but was overthrown in a military coup just a year later.

He rose to power as the leader of the now-banned Muslim Brotherhood, which is Egypt’s largest Islamist group.
