PF HAS DESTROYED OUR BUSINESSES AND IT WILL BE DIFFICULT FOR US TO RECOVER – CRIES SMALL BUSINESSES OWNERS.

In the last 14 days, our team has been in trading areas trying to gather information about how affected small businesses is under the PF government with massive load shedding.

“Our daily products are getting bad and few customers are buying due to bad environmental and also welding, saloons, babershops etc are being closed because of PF ZESCO failure to come up with plan B” , said one of the resident in Mandevu.

For the first in Zambia history, the country has experienced 12 hours of load shedding per day which translates to half a day of no power. This also means 15 days of no power in a month.

Rentals and other monthly fixed costs remain the same including civil servants salaries .This is how a failed government looks like and its up to electorates to decide whether to give PF another 5 years to continue misappropriate and loot all government coffers with no listening ears to citizens or choose someone to revamp the economy.

  1. Comment:The situatio we have now is like that of a natural calamity like earth quacke, sunami or floods. It is stupid to put all the blame on government for the loadshading. You can not put a meaningful power station in one or two years. It takes 3 to 10 yrs and PF has only been in power for 8yrs and is the only government to invest so heavly in power generation. What we want to hear is what those condemning government would have done to address the current power shortage. Is it not only the building alternative power stations like the PF government is doing? We want change but let us not use a natural calamity to drive this change because a similar situation may come to haunt us as well. Yes businesses have suffered but its such an unfortunate situation that cant be reversed over night. We have to suffer a little bit more.
