We would like to commend the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RATSA) boss Mr. Zindaba Soko for the brave move he has taken to step aside from his position while he is under investigations.
The move shows some kind of integrity which will allow the due process of law to take it’s cause without interference.
We once again call on Infrastructure Development Minister Ronald Chitotela currently facing court action on corruption charges to equally do the same and resign on moral grounds like his junior Mr. Soko has done or be relieved of his duties.
We cannot have a minister flying our dignified flag and sitting in government offices while he is facing such serious allegations in court.
Chitotela is setting a bad precedency in the country’s fight against corruption and must immediately vacate office as well to allow for the court process to proceed without interference.
Other ministers and officials in government facing corruption investigations and charges should equally resign from office.
