Robbers have attacked a Catholic Sisters’ Convent in Vubwi District and stole K2, 050 cash and four mobile phones.

Eastern Province Deputy Police Commissioner Sharon Zulu told journalists that the robbers who were armed with pangas robbed the sisters around 01:00 hours on Saturday.

She said the attackers gained entry into the Convent by damaging the window panes and burglar bars.
Zulu said nothing had been recovered and no arrests have been made.

She said police have since launched investigations into the matter.
