PEP President Sean Tembo has filed for divorce in the Lusaka High Court against his Motswana wife Boitumelo Vavani, a lecturer at the University of Botswana.

The couple has been on separation since March, 2016.

Mr. Tembo, a politician who was lawfully married to his wife on 26 June, 2009 at the Civic Center in Lusaka has stated that their marriage had broken down irretrievably.

He adds that he has not lived with his wife since he left their matrimonial home in Botswana in March 2016.

Mr. Tembo has asked the court to allow him have access to his three children at any given time as they are in the custody of their mother in Botswana.

He has prayed that his marriage be dissolved, and there be a joint custody of the children as well as settlement of property.
