By PF MCC Kebby Mbewe, Sesheke District.
Countrymen and women; some baffling events taking place in Sesheke in the run up to the February 12 2018 by-election, are beyond the scope of political rivalry in the natural. They have taken on a very dark and wicked spiritual dimension.
We mourn the loss of Comrade Masendo Wamunyima – a colleague who was on Tuesday 5th February 2018, inexplicably killed by a bolt of lightning that struck one of our campaign camps in Sesheke.
We also pray for the speedy recovery of our other beloved party members who sustained serious burns when the lightning struck.
To aggravate an already incomprehensible situation, another Patriotic Front Camp in the Constituency has been mysteriously attacked by bees – and a number of party faithful have been admitted to hospital.
All this is not by coincidence; it is clearly by design.
Political rivalry should never degenerate to a point where witchcraft becomes central to a by election campaign.
It appears witchcraft is the only thing a particular political party and its leader understand. They are on record boasting about their occult prowess and familiarity with dark powers enhanced by their “skill” at sleeping in graveyards.
What kind of desperation does this particular opposition party and its leader have that they have resorted to witchcraft to try and stop the Patriotic Front, (who are clearly the front runners) from winning?
Witchcraft is about nothing but killing, stealing and destroying.
No matter how desperate people get, it should never be an option. It has no place in nation building; particularly in a Christian nation like ours.
Why should methods of death and darkness be used in by election campaigns?
As for us in the Patriotic Front household, under the leadership of President Edgar Chagwa Lungu, we eschew and condemn witchcraft and we choose to serve our LORD JESUS CHRIST.
*A Call for Intercession to All Christians regardless of Political Affiliation*
It is very clear that the battle for Sesheke (and Zambia) is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of darkness and spiritual wickedness.
We urge the police to continue beating up all those who support this useless opposition party which is using juju to win elections. Since there is no law that punishes witches, our men and women in uniform should continue beating them up until they repent.
We therefore make a call to the body of Christ through the Church and all believers regardless of political affiliation to put aside any differences and put on the whole armour of God and intercede for both physical and spiritual peace in Sesheke and the nation at large as we stand on the promises of *Psalm 91:*
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the [a]fowler
and from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and [b]buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday
A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
Greater is HE that is in us than he that is in the world.
The LORD who unites us as a nation in diversity is greater than he who seeks to divide us through manipulation and witchcraft .
Jesus Christ is Lord over Sesheke and the entire nation of Zambia. May Our Zambia Police continue doing their wonderful job in Sesheke to frastrate witchcraft plans of the opposition.
