Top Zambian Female Referee Gladys Lengwe has been selected to officiate at the 2019 FIFA World Cup in France.
The appointment comes days after Lengwe took charge of
the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of the Nations (AWCON) in Ghana, pitting Nigeria and South Africa.
Lengwe is among the 27 centre referees who have been selected by the world’s football governing body to officiate at the most coveted showpiece in Women’s game.
In Africa, the seasoned whistle-woman was listed alongside Abebe Lidya Tafesse of Ethiopia and Mukansanga Salima from Rwanda.
