“Violence witnessed in southern Province by Tongas on Bembas and Easterners engineered by HH’S hatred towards the two tribes is unacceptable should be condmned by all well meaning Zambians,”said Belemu.
Mr.Belemu said that,”the unfortunate incidents of violence by Tongas against Bembas and Eaterners translates direct result of the hatred UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema has preached to his people in Southern Province.”
“Hichilema has brainwashed the people of Southern Province to the point that only a few can question his logic”,said former Mbabala member of Parliament Ephraim Belemu.
He added that even headmen have not been spared by Hichilema’s indoctrination and anger towards Bembas and Easterners in the Province.
Belemu noted that Hichilema has effectively turned headmen in the province into weapons of tribal hatred against other tribes by relegating them to insignificant party chairpersons .
“when you go to southern province, all the headmen have been made to become UPND chairpersons and turned into a weapon of tribal hatred against other progressive tribes such as Bembas and Easterners whom HH views as a threat to his chances of becoming republican president. Southerners have been taught by Mr. Hichilema systematically through their headmen who are the UPND chairmen everywhere that until a Tonga rules they must hate the government for no apparent reason and fight all other tribes for their birth rights to rule and Mukuni is part of this evil agenda,” Belemu explained.
