UPND ADOPTS BRAVE NSAMBA FOR MILENGE ELECTION

Lusaka – 13/11/19

“There is no political party with a stronghold as all political parties enjoy the free will to take part in elections in any part of the country and the PF will do itself justice if it doesn’t consider any part of the country as it’s stronghold”,says Gary Nkombo.

And the UPND has adopted Brave Nsamba as its candidate for the vacant Milenge Town Council Chairmanship election.

Speaking in Lusaka this afternoon,Mr Nkombo who is UPND chairman for Elections said it is a fallacy for the PF through its Secretary General Davis Mwila to think that his party holds the monopoly of certain parts of the country.

He said the PF has lost popularity across the country and should never claim to be strong adding that all political parties have right to participate in elections.

He said the UPND would not have participated in the poll had it considered Milenge as the PF stronghold but is a firm believer in the tenets of democracy which allows for free electoral participation.

Mr. Nkombo who is also Mazabuka Central MP said his party was looking forward to an incident free campaign and is optimistic that all things being equal, the people will vote for the UPND candidate as they are braced with the failed leadership of the PF.

Mr.Brave Nsamba has been adopted to run on the UPND ticket in Milenge with party deputy Chairman for Local Government Brian Ndumba being the election Campaign Manager and deputised by Matthews Bwele Songwe.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia has set tomorrow Thursday November 14th,2019 as date for nominations and December 5th as voting day.
