Someome informed me of it but last night i saw it for my self.

In chawama Mothers & Grandmothers laying in a ditch so they can get forms for their kids to get into grade 1.

I took this at 21hrs. Some had been there since 12hrs. Due to shortage of Government Schools.
Even laying down here doesnt guarantee a spot. The demand is that a child be 7 years old to enter grade one. Some ladies said their children get rejected cause they look smaller. One lady says her child is now 9 and hopes now he will be accepted.
They cant afford private schools even at a fee of 150 a month.

They gave me permission to take pictures and be interviewed because they feel they’ve had enough and hope recognition to the situation will bring help.
