The National Democratic Congress Party (NDC) President Dr. Chishimba Kambwili this morning appeared before the Lusaka magistrate court.
This is in a matter were the NDC leader has been dragged to court for defamation of the Head of state.
The case was before magistrate Lameck Mwale.
The case came up for continued trial and state presented two witnesses on to the stand.
The first witness being Daniel Nyati aged 37years old, residing at Plot number 26437 off Kasama road Lusaka and a business.
The second witness being Alan Mukadawire aged 33years of plot 47/19 chawama and a business man who has stayed in Chawama for 3years.
Both witnesses went through cross examination by the accused lawyers Christopher Mundia and Keith Mweemba.
At Court Dr Kambwili was accompanied by the His P Secretary Fabian Mutale and his aid-de-camp Christopher Kangwa.
At court Roan member of parliament Honourable Joseph Chishala lead a number of NDC officials in welcoming the NDC leader.
NDC Secretary General Bridget Atanga also joined the NDC leader at court.
The court session went up to afternoon and magistrate adjourned and extended Dr.Kambwili’s bail and set 22nd October 2019 and 4th November 2019 as dates for continued trial.
