Former Justice Minister Given Lubinda says late Chief Justice Irene Mambilima was an inspirational to many especially in the judiciary system.
Mr Lubinda says the death of Justice Mambilima is really a great loss to the judiciary system.
“Its is very sad development in the judiciary system in Zambia. Her Honour Chief Justice Irene Mambilima was an inspirational to many of us”,he says.
“She really did great things which has helped the judiciary to be where it is now,”
Mr Lubinda who is also Presidential Campaign Manager in His Excellency President Dr Edgar Lungu’s running mate Professor Nkandu Luo’s team, says Justice Mambilima helped the judiciary to go digital.
Speaking immediately after signing in the book of condolences at Lusaka High Court today, he says her contribution has made the work of the judiciary to be easy.
Mr Lubinda says the courts in Zambia were linked to all correctional facilities through digitalisation.
Meanwhile Mr Lubinda says Justice Mambilima will be remembered for her role at Electoral Commission of Zambia.
He says she handled the most crucial elections in 2015.
